Potassium humate is a kind of high-quality potash fertilizer after humic acid being activated. The production area of humic acid in China is principally concentrated in such provinces as Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shanxi, and Heilongjiang. First of all, a good organic fertilizer supplier must be professional, knowing well the raw materials of humic acid, the production process, the distinctions between different forms and different grades of humic acid products as well as the different usages of humic acid and the preferences of local farmers in different countries. Some traders may have complained about his or her suppliers that the products in the first two containers they sold are good, but the cargos in the third and fourth containers are of poor quality. And for the fifth and sixth container, it is so-so. In fact, such unstable quality performance brings trouble to traders or even cause a customer loss. Thus a good supplier must keep their products quality high and stable.

Service
In addition to quality and price, service is also an key factor that buyers attach great importance to, because it is a factor which can show the differences between different suppliers in the era of product homogenization. How does a company choose its business partners? The very first criteria is to see whether these potential partners have professionalism and high-quality services. Professionalism involves the supplier’s knowledge about the customer’s local market, because in different countries the entry requirements on the same product may differ. Take sodium humate for example, some countries may require the importer to get registration and approval from the Ministry of Agriculture or the Ministry of Fisheries or the authority in charge of feedstuff inspection, while in some other countries the customs label sodium humate as a kind of chemical and the customs clearance is easier. In addition, requirements on the same product in the same country may differ greatly because of different specifications caused by different application scenarios. Because the products are basically black in color, we can only keep the packaging as clean as possible, by using better packaging material such as coated kraft paper, or making smaller packages (for example, 1kg) and putting them in paper cartons.

Delivery Time
As for delivery time, we certainly hope that we can deliver the goods to our customers on time, as is defined in the contract. But the ideal is full and the reality is very skinny. In the actual operation process, there will always be some uncontrollable factors. For example, last year many fertilizer factories in China were forced to suspend their production due to numerous inspections from the Environmental Protection Agency. It seriously affected the delivery time of fertilizers from China and their prices increased significantly. If encountered with such unexpected delay in delivery, what can suppliers do? I think it is necessary for them to inform the customer of the reasons for the delay as well as the new ETD (estimated time of departure), which makes it easier for customers to make new arrangements. In addition, some products are seasonal products. Unlike potassium humate flakes and powders, which can be produced all year round, potassium humate granules can only be produced in the summer, because they must be dried in the sunshine to get enough hardness. Therefore, for customers hoping to buy potassium humate granules, we should inform them in advance to stock some granules for the autumn and winter days. Regarding the sudden rise of raw material prices, we shall try our best to evade such risks through our experience in this profession.
